The USD 1.5 trillion SDG impact financing gap in Asia Pacific is a massive target to meet, but capital alone won't bring the change. Why does capital remain "out of sync" with development needs in Asia Pacific? There is a dual reality: we have growing market potential and record-high investor interest, yet underserved geographies are still struggling to access scalable funding. In our latest article, we unpack the "systemic frictions" preventing capital from flowing effectively. Dive into our latest article on strengthening impact investment ecosystem here 👇

Transformation doesn’t happen by chance, it takes strategic design, disciplined execution, partnership and shared long-term commitment to ensure every investment creates lasting value for people and the planet. Our team has had the honor to work together with WWF Verdens naturfond and WWF Indonesia to accelerate and scale the impact of Waste4Change, Rekosistem, Recovered Indonesia, KIBUMI, and Thai Ocean Plastics Recycling Co., Ltd. (TOP) powered through our Kolibri Capital and Strategy advisory, where impact investments are delivering tangible circularity results, improving financial sustainability, integrating ESG, while managing risk. Across Asia, the momentum for impact investing in circularity continues to grow. Yet, significant gaps due to lack of enforcement, market volatility and asymmetry in synergy remain as the biggest challenges in scaling solutions and deploying capital effectively. We’re proud to be a part of the partnership in bridging that gap, turning strategy into collaborations and tangible outcomes. Visit kolibriforimpact.com to learn more.

Systems are often described as complex, technical, or structural. But at their core, systems are shaped by human choices: what we measure, what we reward, what we overlook. When women are under-represented in leadership and capital allocation, blind spots become embedded into financial models, governance structures, and policy frameworks. Over time, those blind spots compound and create systemic inequality. In our work across impact strategy, ESG integration, and impact investment, we have seen how small shifts in perspective can influence where capital flows, how performance is defined, and who ultimately benefits. Inclusion is not simply about fairness. It is about intentionally inclusive design and commitment for long-term outcomes. On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women shaping systems, and we recommit to building structures that are resilient, equitable, and grounded in lived experience. If you are rethinking how capital, policy, or strategy can deliver more sustainable impact, we would welcome the conversation. Visit kolibriforimpact.com to learn more about how we partner with governments, investors, and mission-driven organisations to design systems that last.

The Kolibri flocks came together across locations for the Kolibri Conference, or Kolicon for short – our annual space to align on how we think, work, and support partners in a changing environment. At Kolicon 2026, several team members led engaging sessions. Irfan Fahmi walked the team through what it means to develop leadership within complex impact sectors. Alan Kuncoro Raharjo shared updates on our digital impact product development, led discussions on data security and responsible use, and supported breakout sessions on shaping ideas into practical, user-centred solutions. Tifani Lusiana guided the team through structured problem-solving and top-down communication using Kolibri’s approach, while Dhia Fani facilitated a session on leading effectively through uncertainty. Vera Harludi focused on turning analysis into clear, decision-ready narratives using data, and Ahmad Jidan worked with the team on transforming policy analysis into concise, effective policy briefs. We closed with in-person team lunches across Kolibri’s hubs, a reminder that we are a collective of experts united by shared values, vision, and purpose. This shared alignment sets the foundation for how Kolibri supports governments, investors, and organisations in turning ambition into practical, lasting outcomes in 2026. 2026 calls for a shift in leadership mindset. Impact ambition is high, but execution gaps remain. As scrutiny intensifies, leaders must move beyond business as usual toward greater strategic and operational clarity: aligning capital, governance, data, delivery, and risk management. The organisations that will lead this decade are those that drive scalable results through strong impact governance, credible data and monitoring, and execution readiness, enabling them to attract and sustain capital over time. January is a moment to pause, assess impact readiness, and engage in informed dialogue on what success looks like for your organisation in the year ahead. Visit kolibriforimpact.com to explore how we support your organisation in translating ambition into outcomes. Wishing our partners, colleagues, and valued network a Happy New Year 2026.

ESG strategy and operational transformation do not happen automatically. It requires intentional design, guided transition, and committed resources. Through Kolibri Academy, we’ve partnered with organisations to train and mentor impact enterprises receiving investment support, in order to help them embed ESG principles into their portfolios and day to day decisions. From governance and transparency to operational integration, these enterprises are learning to measure what truly matters: building organizations that create both business value and societal resilience. Because transformation isn’t a moment, it’s a continuous practice of purpose and design. Visit kolibriforimpact.com to learn more about our work.

Throwback to our collaboration and months of hard work with the KIAT - Indonesia Australia Partnership for Infrastructure and Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Republic of Indonesia teams. We’re grateful to our government counterparts and the KIAT team for their trusted partnership with Kolibri for Impact. Together, we conducted system diagnostics, built stakeholder alignment, and co-produced a national roadmap to strengthen governance, financing, and utility performance. We integrated data-driven insights and embedded a climate resilience framework to ensure that the government and its partners can deliver improved service standards and scale sustainable access to drinking water, sanitation, and waste management services, all within affordable and safe housing strategies. This work is system-transformative, and we are honoured to have been entrusted with a process that supports lasting, positive national impact. Learn more about our work at kolibriforimpact.com.

Behind every decision that drives change lies a strong monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system, and platforms that turn data into meaningful insight. Our Kolibri Insights team developed a custom M&E platform to help partners track what truly matters: outcomes, human experiences, and stories, not just outputs. In this project, we designed a platform used across 500 locations, with 1,000 active users and over 30,000 data entries. Built as a hybrid online-offline system, it ensured that progress could be tracked even from remote islands across the archipelago. By connecting data, design, and strategy, the platform transforms evidence into insight, enabling governments, investors, and organizations to see progress clearly, act precisely, and amplify their impact. Because impact isn’t just measured, it’s understood, learned from, and scaled.

🌍 World Environmental Health Day reminds us that human health and environmental health are inseparable. From clean air to safe water, protecting our ecosystems means protecting ourselves. 💧🌱 This day calls us to reflect on how we can act — and at Kolibri, we’ve been proud to contribute to conversations that push the needle forward. 🔹 Back in October 2023, our CEO Dhia Fani had the honour of moderating a session at the ASEAN Conference on Combatting Plastic Pollution (ACCPP) in Jakarta. Together with development banks, government leaders, and private sector partners, the dialogue explored how to unlock financing for circular economy solutions — ensuring that capital flows where it’s needed most to tackle plastic pollution. 🔹 In May 2024, she was also invited to the Resik Seminar & Workshop, joining government ministries and researchers to highlight how plastic waste, water security, and public health are deeply interconnected. Both moments reinforced one truth: 🌱 environmental action is also health action. Building a circular economy for plastics and protecting water resources are not only about sustainability — they are about safeguarding well-being for generations to come. 💚 On this World Environmental Health Day, we celebrate collaboration across sectors and borders, and we renew our commitment to accelerating solutions that protect both people and planet. 🌍 Ten years since the world adopted the SDGs, one truth has become clear: impact happens when strategy meets investment and the right actions. At Kolibri, we’ve seen how the right mix of finance, policy, and innovation can turn ambitions into measurable changes — from cities becoming more resilient, to education reaching new generations, to energy transitions that are fair and sustainable. Our journey has also evolved. From our regional base in Singapore, we’re working across Asia Pacific to help organisations move beyond fragmented projects toward integrated, scalable solutions. It’s about building systems that last, and partnerships that multiply results. But no one can achieve the SDGs alone. Progress depends on collaboration — across sectors, across borders, across perspectives. 💬 Which SDG resonates most deeply with you — and why? Let us know in the comments. And if you’re exploring how to advance your organisation’s impact, let’s connect at kolibriforimpact.com.
